He moves to kiss her, smiling happily into the kiss. “I’m so happy right now C, you have no idea how happy you’ve made me.”
She kissed back eagerly. “You could always show me.” She whispered, before pressing her lips back to his.
He ifted her off the ground, kissing her deeper as they abandoned the dining room, carrying her to ther bedroom, alternating between grinning like crazy and kissing her like mad.
She immediately wrapped her legs around his waist, a small gasp leaving her lips as he carried her to their bedroom. Her hands running through his hair as she trailed kisses along his jawline.
“I love you too,” He hugged her back, holding her close. “We’re getting married C!”
She squeals, laughing as she keeps her arms around him. “Yes, yes we are.?” She grins, burying her face on the crook of his neck.

She looked at him with a small ‘o’ forming on her mouth before smiling softly at him. “I know. At least this one ended so much better than if I didn’t see it before… and I didn’t freak out on you? My mom took the death blows…” She kissed the corner of his lips, before pulling away. “Wait, you showed it to my dad?” She asked.
“Your dad, your mom, your brothers…” Danny said. “You should be proud of me for living through all of that, by the way.”
“Yes, I am.” She said pulling him in for a kiss. She nibbled his bottom lip playfully before pulling away. “I love you” She said meaning every word. She smiled her arms wrapping around his neck as she hugged him tightly.

“Yes?” he asked, wide eyed and looking up at her. He was fully prepared to make his case even more. He was ready for her to tell him she needed time, or she needed to think about it. Had she really said yes?Yes I will marry you Danny Abbot
Her left hand was still in his, and he felt tears fall from his face as he pressed the ring onto her finger before jumping up and pulling her into his arms, yelping happily as he spun her around, kissing her soundly. “Oh my god you said yes,” Danny couldn’t stop smiling even if he wanted to. he pressed his forehead to hers, smiling widely. “Oh my god Cassandra I love you so so much.” he whispered, holding her close.
She was experiencing so many things at once, she didn’t know what emotions were holding her. Tears continue to stream down her face, but her smile couldn’t falter. “You really have to thank my mother, she gave me ‘the talk’.” She pulled away for a bit, when she was sure her knees wouldn’t give out. “I have a confession to make… I kinda saw the ring…” She gave him a sheepish grin looking at the ring on her finger and back to him.
“I know,” Danny said with a smile, though he was still crying a little and he wiped at his eyes. “It wasn’t in the bag where I had put it, and I needed it to show to your dad. I thought I lost it and then found it in the wrong bag,” he smirked at her. “And I remembered you helped me unpack and put the pieces together. I’m kind of glad you saw it then, because I had a feeling you were going to panic on me…” he bit his lip.

She smiled at him as he listened, nodding at the part where he said that he loves her. But as he continued, C’s smile started to fade. Her eyes grew wide and her mouth opened in a silent gasp as she realized what Danny was doing. Wait — No. Is he really?! Oh god.
Yes, she has seen the ring. He had it since they were in Italy. She already freaked out about it towards her mother but this was still way too different to actually experience it and not just hyperventilate at the idea that Danny was going to propose. Yes, she did experience this before, she’s not gonna lie about that. This is another choice for her to make, was she willing to go down that path again?
He’s not David, you know.
Her mother’s words rang through her, as Danny finally says the words
Will you marry me C?
She stared at the ring, one of the most beautiful she had seen. The most beautiful one belonged to her mother, and that woman won’t be giving that heirloom anytime soon. She didn’t even noticed that she was crying until her vision was practically covered in tears. C wiped away the tears only for her to start crying even harder.
Her father’s words to her came back in blinding speed.
Do you want this?
That was his question when he asked about her and Danny. It was when he dropped them off the airport on their way back to New York. The trip wasn’t supposed to last that long, but she had no regrets. Her father pulled her into a tight hug and asked her the question. The only thing appropriate to do now was to give Danny the same answer as the one she answered her father with.
“Yes.”
Her voice broke as she nodded, a smile creeping up to her lips. “Yes, I will marry you Danny Abbot.” She said a bit louder the second time.

“Yeah I’m okay I’m just…” he smiled at her. “Thinking. I’ve been thinking.” He should have written something down, should have planned something. For some stupid reason he thought this would be easier. But he was so scared she’d say no. He took a deep breath. “I’ve been thinking about how much I love you C, and how happy you’ve made me since we’ve gotten together. I think about it all the time.” It was getting easier to speak now that he had started. “And lately, all I can think about is how much I want this to continue. How I want you and I to be part of each other’s lives forever. I want to grow old with you, Cassandra. I want to start a family with you, to fill up that house we just bought until it’s bursting like your home back in Italy. And I want to be with you for the rest of my life,” somehow he had ended up on the floor, on one knee in front of C. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring. “So I guess what I’ve really been thinking is, Will you marry me C?”
She smiled at him as he listened, nodding at the part where he said that he loves her. But as he continued, C’s smile started to fade. Her eyes grew wide and her mouth opened in a silent gasp as she realized what Danny was doing. Wait — No. Is he really?! Oh god.
